Anna Harris, owner of Anna Harris Designs is an Interior Designer and LEED Green Associate living in Los Angeles. Anna graduated from UCLA's arc-ID program and is a past President of AWA+D. A California native, Anna enjoys all things movies, food and art.

CHRISTINA MONTI

COMMITTEE CO-CHAIR
AWA+D PAST PRESIDENT (2016-2017)

Originally trained as a designer, Christina Monti is a creative problem-solver with expertise in positioning and marketing designers and thought leaders both nationally and internationally. Seeking more direct client experience and leadership opportunities, Christina transitioned early in her career to marketing and business development, working in-house for some of Los Angeles’ most celebrated architects and for the last 13 years as an independent management and marketing consultant to firms across the A/E/C industry.

Christina’s involvement with AWA+D began in 2011 with an appointment as Communications Director. She served in this role until 2015 when she was nominated as Vice President, and then President the following year. She currently Co-Chairs AWA+D’s 100th celebration committee, and serves as a Board Member and Director of Communication for the Association for Women in Architecture Foundation (AWAF), which raises funds for scholarships and mid-career fellowships.

NINA BRIGGS

AWA+D PAST PRESIDENT (2001-2002)

Nina Briggs is the founding principal of THE FABRIC in Pasadena, California, cultivating new and renovation residential projects since 1987. Ms. Briggs received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California, and has taught architecture, interior architecture and landscape architecture at Cal Poly Pomona, California State University Northridge, The University of California Los Angeles Extension ARCID, The Art Institute of Los Angeles, Woodbury University, and College of the Canyons. Her collaborative approach to designing spaces for people, holistically incorporates sensitive listening and informed observation of human behavior within the layers of their cultural operating systems.

Kishani De Silva

AWA+D PAST PRESIDENT (2015-2016)

Kishani De Silva has worked in the architecture and design industries for over twenty years in the project and major program management arena. Prior to her current appointment in local government she worked as a management consultant following her time at Foster + Partners in London. Her current work as an Executive Advisor with the executive office of the Los Angeles County Development Authority focuses on homelessness and the affordable housing shortfall in Los Angeles. A former president and Board member of the Association for Women in Architecture + Design, Kishani leads a “50:50 x 2020” gender equity initiative.

Additionally, as part of Woodbury University's adjunct faculty, she has taught a graduate level practice class focusing on a management, leadership and entrepreneurship segment and her work relating to housing innovation, sustainability and the business of design have been published in Next City, 2019; Metropolis, 2016 and Design Intelligence, 2012. She has a MSc in Major Program Management from the University of Oxford, England, an executive leadership certification from Cornell and a BArch from Woodbury University. She is also a Board member of Ten Thousand Villages Pasadena—an entity working for social and economic justice for marginalized populations in the developing world.

TERRI MOORE

AWA+D PAST PRESIDENT (2017-2018)

Terri Moore is a Principal at moore+friesl, a design and fabrication consultancy based in downtown Los Angeles. Working on projects with a diverse range of complex fabrication and material requirements, Terri manages projects, operations and business development. Terri also designs and sells her own line of jewelry called Folde.

Terri began her involvement with the AWA+D as Secretary and has since served as Vice President, President, and is currently still serving on the board as Systems Director while also volunteering with the 100 year planning committee.

AUDREY SATO

AWA+D PAST PRESIDENT (2019-2020)

Audrey is a licensed architect in the state of California, and a podcast host at the XX|LA Architects Podcast. She also served as President of the AWA+D from 2019-20. Audrey Sato gained an appreciation for the beauty of nature and the importance of community while growing up in Honolulu, Hawaii. While at Brown University, Audrey discovered her love for architecture, realizing the potential for design to enrich and change lives. Audrey graduated with honors from Brown University, with a double concentration in Visual Arts and Architectural Studies. She went on to receive her Masters Degree in Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona, and went on to teach architecture design at her alma mater for 5 years. Besides architecture, Audrey's interests include surfing, sogetsu ikebana, gardening, and her dog, Charlie Brown.
