AWA+D is proud to be a part of the International Archive of Women in Architecture at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, aka Virginia Tech. The IAWA was established in 1985 as a joint program of the College of Architecture and Urban Studies to document the history of women's contributions to the built environment. The organization collects, preserves, and provides access to the records of women's architectural organizations and the professional papers of women architects, landscape architects, designers, architectural historians and critics, and urban planners.
AWA+D contributes physical and digital materials of interest to the IAWA on a semi-regular basis so that members and women practicing in our area are appropriately represented for their efforts and contributions. Following are useful links:
