The National Association of Women in Construction Los Angeles Chapter (NAWIC LA), will celebrate Women in Construction (WIC) Week March 4-10, 2018. NAWIC’s mission is to enhance the success of women in the construction industry. During WIC Week, the Los Angeles Chapter, NAWIC LA will honor and recognize women leaders in construction and design.
WIC Week will highlight the many contributions of women in the construction industry and help to raise awareness of the range of career opportunities available for women in the construction industry. The week will be celebrated with a variety of activities raising awareness of career paths for tradeswomen as well as celebrating women in construction and design leadership roles. WIC Week events will include:
· March 6 – Leadership Affecting Measurable Change Breakfast LA City Hall, Tom Bradley Tower, 9:00am
· March 7 – Wine Tasting Fundraiser and Mixer Benefitting Women in Non Traditional Employment Roles (WINTER) Pour Hause in the Arts District, 7:00pm
· March 8 – Groundbreaking Women in Construction Luncheon Marriott LAX, 10:30am
WIC Week partners include: Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Office, Association of Women in Architecture + Design, Association of General Contractors, Association of Women in Architecture + Design, Los Angeles | Orange County Building Trades Council, LA Metro, National Association of Minority Contractors, Women in Construction – Owners and Executives, Women in Operations, Women in Non Traditional Employment Roles (WINTER).
