Topic: Creative Women as Leaders
Architects are trained in creative problem-solving, and while we take this for granted, the wider world understands the benefit of this type of thinking – often discussing creative and collaborative problem-solving as some kind of new discovery. At the same time, creative people, and particularly creative women, are often misunderstood and overlooked for leadership positions. For February’s Salon, we will discuss the following questions:
How can we, as architects, reclaim the territory of creative problem-solving as something we offer as a service in the marketplace and to the public?
How can we, as creative women, remain authentic and still be recognized for our talent, skill and hard work and promoted as leaders?
Our conversation will use the article The Bias Against Creatives as Leaders as a point of departure.
