Entitled THE RISE: Building Downtown LA, the moderated panel discussion and private reception will be held Sunday, May 31 from 10:30am-1pm. Frances Anderton, host of KCRW’s DnA: Design and Architecture, will moderate a panel of downtown LA specialists who will discuss and debate the potential of our metropolitan center.
Why You Should Attend This EventAfter decades of promise and few results, Los Angeles' downtown is finally realizing a true renaissance. With the surge of new development and adaptive projects, residents and businesses are migrating to the core of our city, but the bigger question remains of whether this revitalized core will be a Downtown for all, or become an isolated venue for the privileged. What Your Ticket Gets YouThe Rise presentation will take place from 10:30am to noon on main stage within Dwell’s exhibition space; the South Hall of the LA Convention Center. You will have reserved seating for the stage presentation and immediately after the panel discussion we’ll move into a private room to enjoy a reception with food and drinks. Your ticket will also provide entry into the Dwell exhibit all three days of the show, as well as into The Rise presentation on Sunday. Considering a regular pass for the design trade is $50 and non-trade are $70, this is an amazing opportunity.
